We are in the process of providing secure cycle storage across a number of their developments in Edinburgh. This is to encourage more cycling amongst their tenants and consequently for their tenants to have a secure, weather resistant area to store their bikes.
Places for People has been very particular in making sure that it’s tenants are given every opportunity to enjoy all the benefits of cycling. Such as health, fitness and all round wellbeing. Security is also another major aspect. With our Veloboxes being the most secure bike hangar on the market, it was important for Places for People to know that it’s tenants had the peace of mind of having their bikes stored as securely as possible.
Transport poverty is a very real issue for many; not being able to afford public transport or their own vehicle to get to work or school/college. Providing a solution for secure storage of bikes makes an enormous difference to those who, if they should lose their bike to theft, are not able to afford an alternative.
Places for People are aiming to minimise this issue by rolling out sufficient solutions in the way of Veloboxes. Our Veloboxes are Sold Secure Diamond, the highest security standard on the market. To date, there has not been a successful break-in to any of our units.
