This week Grease Monkey has reached a massive milestone with the 200th Velobox having been installed for the Hackney roll out of secure cycle hangars.
The project started in October and the roll out is the largest in UK history with 675 hangars to be installed within the London Borough of Hackney.
We are so pleased to be working alongside Hackney who are leaders in delivering active travel solutions to their residents and changing their communities for the better.
Part of the team were in London this week, checking in with Hackney Council and to celebrate with Waltham Forest their 10 year anniversary of Enjoy Waltham Forest. We got to see for ourselves, by foot and by pedal, the changes made to encourage more walking and cycling, from hangars to rain gardens.
This is our most recent customised bike repair station which our client branded in purple.
We think it looks fab and stands out to passing cyclists who may need a pump or to carry out a repair using one of the 10 tools attached.
All our bike repair stations can be customised to any RAL colour.
With the sun shining and temperatures heating up our Habitats have started becoming more popular.
Ideal for community gardeners to get green fingered in urban areas, the Habitat can be added on to existing Veloboxes or bought alongside new. They can be tailored to just planters or part bench and planter.
With the popularity of e-bikes going through the roof, we have seen a notable increase in sales of our Electric Velobox.
Exactly as our standard Velobox but with 6 charging points, one per cycle space.
